Meet the SHS Mental Health Team
Melinda Georges
Melinda earned her B.A. in Psychology and Women Studies from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, her M.A. in School Counseling k-12 from New York University. Melinda has a colorful experience of working with people all ages. She started her career working with adults living with HIV/AIDS transitioning back into the workforce. She has worked in a hospital with adolescents, elementary school and middle school before settling in high school. Outside of school, Melinda enjoys spending time with her family including her fur baby Suki and traveling.
Services:
Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Trauma in Schools, Peer Mediation, Case Managment for Stonington students attending schools outside of district.
