STOMP's Beginning
On December 26, 2003, Oklahoma Highway Patrolman Nik Green was killed in the line of duty by a man manufacturing methamphetamine on a rural county road in the Randlett/Devol area, just north of the Red River in Oklahoma. His wife, Linda Green-Bennett, refused to allow that loss to define the future of other families. A former school teacher, Linda transitioned into a public speaker and advocate for drug and alcohol abuse prevention education. After remarrying in 2005 and relocating to Jack County, Texas, she remained driven by a passion to expand her mission and reach as many communities as possible. Linda envisioned a local organization that could raise awareness about the dangers of drugs - particularly methamphetamine - and provide education, prevention, and hope to the communities and school districs of Jack County. What began as one woman's commitment to prevention and education soon grew into a community movement.
In the fall of 2014, Linda led a town hall meeting that quickly gained community support and attracted numerous volunteers. A 15-member Board of Directors was formed, and the foundation of Standing Together on Meth Prevention (STOMP) was established. On October 1, 2015, Jack County STOMP achieved 501(C)(3) nonprofit staus, and Linda Green-Bennett officially became the founder of STOMP.
Today, STOMP continues Linda's vision by empowering youth, supporting recovery, strengthening families, and creating brighter futures through prevention, education and hope.
What We Do
Standing Together on Meth Prevention (STOMP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth, supporting recovery, strengthening families, and building healthier communities through prevention, education, and hope. Through a variety of programs and services, STOMP works to address the challenges facing individuals, families, and communities while creating opportunities for brighter futures. Together, these programs help fulfill STOMP's mission of bringing prevention, education, and hope to individuals, families, and communities.
Prevention Education
STOMP provides prevention education programs that equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to make healthy choices. Through classroom presentations in 7th and 12th grades, school partnerships, community events, and CHOMP's elementary reading program, we help youth develop the tools they need to navigate life's challenges.
Outreach & Recovery Support
STOMP connects individuals and families with resources that promote recovery, stability, and hope. Services include recovery support, counseling referrals, crisis intervention, homelessness assistance, Narcan distribution, and assistance obtaining vital identification documents needed for employment, housing, and recovery services.
Xtreme Challenge Camp
Xtreme Challenge Camp provides youth with opportunities to develop leadership skills, build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and learn valuable life skills through hands-on experiences, challenges, and positive mentorship.
Senior Scholarship Program
STOMP invests in the future of local students by providing scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing higher education. Through community support and fundraising efforts, we help students take the next step toward achieving their educational goals.
Community Partnerships
STOMP collaborates with schools, law enforcement agencies, healthcare providers, faith-based organizations, businesses, volunteers, and community leaders to create lasting positive change throughout the communities we serve.

Our Mission is to build resilient, safer, and healthier communities through comprehensive drug and crime prevention education in the schools, fostering leadership and positive life choices in students, supporting addiction recovery, and providing outreach to the homeless.
