Wilma Rudolph
Wilma Rudolph was an Olympic sprinter she joined the Olympics in 1956 Melbourne Games. She was born at St. Bethlehem on June 23 1916. She died at Tennessee State University on November 12 1994.
Childhood
As a young age she was paralyzed by polio and contracted with scarlet fever and double pneumonia. Graduated from Tennessee state with a bachelors degree in education.
Achievements
Won three gold medals and broke thee world records.
Wilma´s later years
Wilma retiered Olympic sprinting in 1962 and started coaching at 1987 in DePauw University.
