Colorado officially became a state on: August 1, 1876
Colorado's brief history before it became a state: At 1803, the United State needed the Eastern part of Colorado, because of the Louisiana purchase and the western portion in 1848, it went through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. In 1850, the federal government also brought Texas and which combine to Colorado and eventually became the Colorado Territory.

Denver's nickname is Mile High City because the elevation is 5280 feet which is exactly one mile above sea.
South of Colorado's corner borders meets Wyoming, Kansas, Oklahoma Arizona, New Mexico, Nebraska, and Utah and it's the only state in the United States where the corner of the states meet.
Colorado is mostly known for their rocky mountain and their large hot spring. The beautiful canyons and rivers are also known for too. The food from Colorado are amazing and delicious burgers, oysters, and lobster that can be topped with anything and it would still be delicious!
