In the meantime, our office offers a variety of leadership opportunities that you can participate in now. The Office of Residential Life re-launched the Themed Living Communities Program last year! TLCs are no longer tied to specific housing locations so all may participate. Learn more by following @tlcsu on Instagram. The Residence Hall Association (@stocktonrha on Instagram) offers programming leadership and programming opportunities for students to get involved in their residential experience. Position Overview
The Office of Residential Life is looking for student leaders for the Fall 2022-Spring 2023 Academic Year! If you are passionate about building community, helping students have a fulfilling on-campus experience, and serving as a resource to peers, the Resident Assistant position may be the perfect fit!
The Resident Assistant position offers all the above, and more! RA’s gain valuable experience that helps develop critical and transferable skills for future opportunities. Our Resident Assistants work together in teams to develop one another personally and professionally. If you are interested in the RA role, read more below!
Position Description
The Resident Assistant position provides student leaders with the opportunity to mentor, support, and advocate for fellow peers at Stockton University. RA’s will develop skills and further their understanding on subjects relating to communication, crisis management, multicultural competency, mentorship, networking and collaboration with on-and-off campus partners, and more! Resident Assistants will also receive full compensation for their housing assignment, a monthly stipend of $125 before taxes, and a meal plan credit of $500 per semester.

Application Process
Applications released Friday, September 24, 2021
Applications are due November 12, 2021, at noon
References due November 22, 2021, at noon
Qualified Applicants will receive an invitation to a personal interview in early 2022
Personal Interviews will be conducted in February 2022
Qualifications
A minimum of a 2.5 semester & cumulative GPA
Full-time student
Undergraduate - 12 credits
Graduate student - 9 credits
No current code of conduct violations or existing sanctions for the current Academic Year
Any student who has been suspended from the University must have attended a full semester after their suspension before applying
Past code of conduct violations will be considered during the hiring process
Able to attend all training sessions (August & January)
Complete & submit RA Application
Submit cover letter & resume
Complete a background check
Hold only one executive board position in a club organization
Active Participation in the Resident Assistant Leadership Course
Summary of Responsibilities
Participate in all in-service and training sessions
Facilitate roommate mediations
Conduct rounds (including holidays), health & safety inspections, fire drills, & wellness checks
Create & facilitate residential programming
Work scheduled office hours
Attend weekly staff meetings and bi-weekly 1:1s with your supervisor
Address and document incidents
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Other duties as assigned
