Dear Sir Knights,
Easter is now behind us and I am sure that you had a peaceful time with your families, enjoying the “Hunt for Easter Eggs”. Personally, I had a quiet Easter, three quarters of the family were victims of either chest infections or Tummy Bugs. Consequently, I remained in isolation and happily have remained, free from any infection, but I did receive some chocolate!
Again this month I have not received any notification of ill health or distress.
At last, I may be able to get to attend the garden, with this pleasant warm break things seem to be drying and I hope to get the meadow mown, the bushes cut back, prune the roses and shrubs and do some planting: perhaps even my anticipated Herb Garden will now get started. I am keeping my fingers crossed, no more tunnels under the fences perhaps the badgers have at last decided to use the gaps left for them; the rest of the wildlife is flourishing.
Going out to Masonic meetings has been like the Curate’s egg, whilst most have had a reasonable attendance, a few have had a very large gathering but unfortunately some have struggled to fill Offices and are lacking new blood.
Do take advantage of getting your vaccinations so that Covid becomes a mild nuisance and not another catastrophe thus not being afraid to get out and visit.
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
Yours in Humilitas et Caritas
Sir Sydney of Belchamp Walter,
Provincial Grand Almoner 7th April 2024
