This project was about everyday things that are unconventionally beautiful. I chose to photograph an old lock because we typically wouldn't notice it, but we use it all the time. Locks protect things that are special to us, and I think there's beauty in that. They also provide us with a sense of security and calmness. If someone were to break that lock, that feeling goes away.
