In Grammar, we will focus on the sentence, parts of speech, and mechanics which include spelling and punctuation. Students will complete worksheets and various classroom activities to practice skills being taught. These may be assigned as homework and graded as such.

The writing process will be used starting with prewriting tools and writing a rough draft. We will start with practice in writing a good sentence and paragraph.

WSMM
WSMM is St. Margaret Mary's News Broadcast. ONLY Students in 5th Grade will be writing stories and presenting them on air for each broadcast. Students will write NEWS, FEATURES, & SPORTS stories. Each student will get to be on air a couple times throughout the school year. Please see the links below for information about each type of WSMM story, WSMM Grading, & the Schedule for this year.
