Word Count

Google Docs allows its users to check and display the word count in a document.

If you select a specific paragraph, the word count for that specific paragraph will be displayed.

Remember that your Works Cited page does not count towards your word count so make sure that you don't select that part of your paper.

When adhering to the word count of an assignment, most post-secondary professors and teachers will say that 10% over the word count is acceptable, but please make sure that you discuss this with your specific teachers.
