Hypothesis:
I think If we are able to build a simple model of a wave energy generator, then it will produce electricity when placed in moving water, because the movement of the water will turn the turbine and power the generator.
Process:
In this wave eenergy generator, a bouy floats on the water and moves up and down with the simulated waves. Attached to the bou is a weight that helps pull it down when the wave goes down. Inside is a 3D pronted cyclinder, there are coils of wire and magnets. As the bou moves the magnets pass by the coils, creating electricity through a process. This electricity can then be used to power small devices or light bulbs.
Materials:
To build this project, we had to figure out which materials would be best for the project. Charlie and I had no clue what to get, so we talked and planned with Mr. Capone on what materials to get. After talking with Mr. Capone we made a list of the items we needed and listed them one by one, while Mr. Capone went on Amazon and ordered everything we needed. To make this project, we needed coil, a bouy, rope, a magnet, a weight and
