In Reception they like to read picture books, they can understand and and make there own storys.
We went down to recption and asked them what books they would recommed and why!

Holly liked the part when the tiger drinks dad's beer because it is funny she said "Don't drink my dad's beer"
What The Ladybird Heard

" I like the horses and the ladybird thats why I dressed up as a ladbird!" explanied Betsy.
Frozen 2 & Cinderella
Everlyn liked Cinderella's dress.
Isla liked the book because she likes Ana.
Charlie liked this book because he likes cowboys.
Ottie likes the part when Olaf was sliding down the snow.
Beau likes this book because she likes the part when the little girl meets up with the big bad wolf.

Two scarecrows, Betty o' Barley and Harry o' Hay are hoping to plan their perfect wedding. But a wicked scarecrow, Reginald Rake, has other ideas and almost ruins their special day. Harry becomes a hero before he and Betty can have the wedding of their dreams.

Stick man is a traditional childrens story as it has been around for many years and many children from around the world enjoy it. It is about a family made from sticks at christmas and how the dad gets lost and ventures across the land to find them again. This is a heartwarming christmas story.

Tiddler keeps on telling lies and one day he just go lost in the middle of the ocean but somehow he finds his way back by following his lies and by the end you learn a valuable lesson " lying is very bad."

The Way Back Home
The Way Back Home is a fictional story about a boy who goes to space and runs out of petrol! He finds an alien who nows how to fix it but his machine has broken down, he manages to go to earth to get materials to power it back up. They work together and manages to both find their way back home! The moral of the story is if you work together then it gets done quicker and so everyone can get home!
