Mr. Saikiran D and Ms Vishnu Priya of The Department of English and Languages at St. Mary's College organized an exciting literary fest named Confluence 2023 for students on April 26th, 2023. The fest had various competitions such as Comicon, Speakathon, Scrabble, and Junk Journaling, each taking place in a different location on the college premises.
Comicon was held in Theatrix, where participants dressed up as their favourite literary characters.
Speakathon was also conducted in Theatrix, where participants were given a minute to recite poetry, perform a monologue, or give a speech.
Scrabble, on the other hand, was held in the digital room, where participants played the classic board game online.
Lastly, Junk Journaling took place in the canteen area, where participants created their own personal journals using recycled materials.

A short film competition
The dramatis club has performed skit on anti-ragging, in collaboration with the Anti-Ragging Committee on 22 September 2022. This was done as an attempt to raise awareness about the issue of ragging and to help educate the students to prevent them from ragging their juniors. It also aimed at informing the freshers about ways to tackle ragging.
Co-organized Jashn-e-Mary’s was held on the 3rd of September, 2022 at St. Mary’s College, Yousufguda. The event was for the Intermediate students across the twin-cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Many students from Junior Colleges and schools from various disciplines participated in the twelve competitions hosted for them as part of the celebration. Prizes were given out to the winners as well as cash prizes for Mr. and Ms. Talent were given to those who won more number of prizes in various competitions. Secunderabad public school won the overall trophy for scoring the maximum points. Every participant was given a certificate, a badge and also snacks were provided to them.
