Words of location:

1. al lado(de)=next to

2. cerca(de)=near(to)

3. debajo (de)=underneath,under

4. delante(de)=in front (of)

5. dentro(de)=inside (of)

6. detrás (de)=behind

7. encima(de)=on top (of)

8. lejos(de)=far(from). 

Use the word (de) after a location. When that location is specified add de + el:

 La tiza está debajo del escritorio. ( The chalk is under the desk).

Also is used with adjectives to say how someone feels.

El niño está feliz. ( The boy is happy.) Las niñas están felices.( The girls are happy.)
