Puerto Rico's nickname is:
"La Isla del Encanto"- The Enchanted Island
Unofficial nicknames are:
"La Perla del Caribe"- The Caribbean Pearl
Borikén- Taíno name for PR before the Spaniards' colonization.
Borinquen- a contemporary name used between islanders.
Demonym:
People are known as Puerto Rican "Puertorriqueños" and also as "Boricuas" as a consequence of the variation of the Taíno name of Borinquen.
If you were born in NY from PR parents you're known as a "Nuyorican", and similar to Puerto Ricans in Florida you're known as a "FloriRican".- Source

Our endemic animals are- Coquí, Colibrī, Cotorra Puertorriquena.
Some animals like the Iguana, monkeys, and Vietnamese hogs are among other exotic species.
