library

We love visiting the library with Mrs Dixon, take a look!

World Book Day!

We've had an exciting day celebrating our love of reading. All the children looked fab in their costumes/pjs and they were fabulous in the parade we had!

After a whole school readaround where the teachers read the whole school a story, we had some exciting buddy time!

Thank you to all the children who took photos in weird and wonderful places. They really made us all smile and we found it really hard voting for winner!

Bramble!

As a special treat, Miss Stanley brought Bramble in to see us at school today. We learnt about how to approach a dog safely and we practised this with Bramble. Bramble loved it so much and has asked to come back again. She needed a big sleep afterwards though!

Santa in School

Friday was just the most exciting day for us! We had a visit from Santa on the roof before school and then we all got to go and visit him in the hall. We had a chat and we told him what we would like for Christmas. It was the best day! We even got to go with our buddies which was the best.

Christmas Dinner & jumper day

We had a delicious Christmas dinner at lunchtime today and we enjoyed eating it whilst wearing our Christmas jumpers and a fab reindeer hat which sprout our mischievous elf suggested we made.

Christmas trip to town

To start our new RE topic - preparations, we went into town to see how Chesterfield prepares for Christmas. We spotted lots of lights, Christmas displays in shops, Christmas decorations and even some Christmas food!

Positive noticing

During our Shine Time on Friday we were all given a small 'tag' and we were asked to write something nice about the person we work with on our table. It was great sharing our ideas with our partner and it made everyone smile and feel really special. Some children chose to stick these in thier diaries whilst others have kept them in thier morning work book so they can remnd themselves of what other people think of them.

FireFighter visit - Week 6

We had a visit from Matt from Derbyshire Fire Service to discuss with us how to keep ourselves safe at all times. It was really interesting and we loved taking part in some of the actitivies. We have brought home and information sheet to show you all about it.

Social Time - Week 5

PSHE - PANTS

We have been learning about private parts being private and how we can keep ourselves self. We disucssed the trusted and safe adults we have in our lives and how we can tell them if we ever feel sad or uncomfortable.
