Poison dart frogs live in the Amazon Rainforest. They tend to stay close to the forest floor however they sometimes climb trees up to a height of around 10 metres.
They can be a range of different colours, including red, green, blue and yellow.
Poison dart frogs have long, sticky tongues that dart out to catch their prey. They eat various small insects such as: ants, termites,fruit flies and many more!
There are over 170 different species of poison dart frogs.
Their life span is up to 15 years!
The golden poison dart frog is the most toxic; it has an average amount of 1 miligram of poison (which is enough to kill 20 people)!
