Benefits of a flipped classroom:
Students can learn at their own pace by pausing, rewinding, and rewatching the video.
Promotes independent learning.
Allows tutors or others who are helping to view how the problems are solved in order to provide the best support.
Information is reviewed the next day, providing an opportunity to identify and remediate troubles students may have
Relieves stress of completing difficult homework at home, students should be able to complete work in school during class or study hall.

Drawbacks to a flipped classroom:
Students do not carefully watch the video and therefore do not understand how to use the skill
Students try to hurry through the video and fail to check their work and learn from the mistakes they made
Students allow themselves to be distracted and not focus on learning the concept
Requires technology that they may not have at home (students without technology at home must complete the video/digital notebook during the school day, either during class, lunch recess, study hall, before school, or after school)
