KC Weekly Happenings!
Please keep all decodable readers, high-frequency/sight words, and their letter cards inside their clear pouch. The clear pouch should also stay inside the blue homework folder. I encourage you to review with your child nightly. However, I will use their materials during small groups throughout the week.
High-frequency/sight words can also be found on the Home/School Activities page of my webpage. The words high-lighted in blue are the words that we have been working on in school. At the bottom of the page you will find a few fun activities for home.

Welcome Back To school!
Dear Parents,
Welcome to St. Mary Magdalen School and a new school year! My name is Mrs. Spurio and I will be your child's Kindergarten Teacher this year.
A new school year brings excitement for the students, parents, and teachers. It's a time when we reconnect with our friends, make new friends, explore new activities, and learn new concepts.
I have many goals set for the children this year. From day one; my goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment to help build your child's self-confidence and love for school as they grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and educationally. I hope your child is as excited as I am for the beginning of the new school year. I am always available to you and your child, so please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do to make this a smooth transition for all.
Please visit the school and teacher websites often for important information and announcements. Also, please read the school Handbook for the uniform policy for kindergarten. The children will wear a different winter uniform this year. You can find a copy of the kindergarten supply list on my website. Please bring all items with you on Wednesday, September 3rd during our Meet & Greet. Please do not label anything.
