SUMMER 2026
Dear SMM Pre-K4 Families,
Hello and welcome to the St. Mary Magdalen Preschool Family! We are so happy to
have you join us this school year and look forward to meeting everyone in a few
short weeks. The following is a short outline of important information and dates to keep
in mind to help us get off to a great start:
● Wednesday, September 2nd at 5:30: NEW FAMILY ORIENTATION in the Cafeteria
● Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30: PRE-K & K BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT in
classrooms. (PARENTS ONLY PLEASE) Here we will give important teacher and
classroom-specific information for the school year. This also gives you, as parents,
an opportunity to see your child’s classroom and get to know their teacher. Please feel
free to drop off any supplies at this time. Gym uniforms will be available.
● Thursday, September 3rd from 9-11am – PRE-K MEET & GREET (STUDENTS ONLY)
Students will spend these two hours getting familiar with their teachers,
their classmates and their classroom. Students may wear regular play clothes and
sneakers on this day.
● Tuesday, September 8th - FIRST FULL DAY! - Students arrive from 7:45-8:00 at the
gym doors. More information about procedures will be given at our Back to
School Night.
⭐SUPPLIES:
All students will be asked to provide the following:
2 rolls of paper towels (BOYS in Fall, GIRLS after Christmas)
2 boxes of tissues (BOYS in Fall, GIRLS after Christmas)
2 large containers of disinfectant wipes (GIRLS in Fall, BOYS after Christmas)
2 packages of baby wipes (GIRLS in Fall, BOYS after Christmas)
2 new coloring books
2 containers of Play-Doh 3 oz. each (any color)
4 solo student pictures (4x6 size) for crafts and projects
1 Art Smock (or old T-shirt)
1 one-inch white binder: Pre-K 4 ONLY
⭐REST MATS: All NEW full-day PreK-4 students will need to send in $35 to purchase a rest mat to be used daily. Returning students have their mats from last year that are passed on to their new teacher.
⭐PRE-K UNIFORM: All students in Pre-K 3 and 4 are required to wear the SMM gym
uniform: SMM gym shirt and shorts (in warmer weather) and the SMM sweatshirt or
long-sleeved shirt with SMM sweatpants (in colder weather). Grey, white, blue or black
VELCRO sneakers are to be worn every day with socks. Please no jewelry or nail polish,
as that is the uniform policy in all grades.
⭐ DAILY SUPPLIES:
All children will need:
✏️ One spill-proof reusable water bottle (filled with water only) and one dry
snack each day. Please keep to a child-sized bottle. They will have the option of
ordering pretzels for a morning snack on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well.
✏️ If your child is a “Full-day friend”, they will also need a blanket for resting and
a full lunch daily.
✏️ One regular-sized backpack (large enough to hold a full-sized folder and
other items.)
✏️ One large labeled ziplock bag with a complete change of clothes
(underwear, socks, and a seasonal top and bottom) in case of accidents.
⭐Please LABEL LABEL LABEL everything with your child’s name (clothing, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc.)
We will discuss class routines and procedures and answer any questions you may have
at our Back to School Night. Please reach out to me with any medical
concerns or needs that may need to be addressed before the first day of school. You can find

Enjoy these last few weeks of summer with your little ones. We look forward to seeing all
