Take your time. This is an explorative activity designed so you dip in and out of it. It will take time to watch the media and careers literature departments have put together. I hope it is fun to see some of our older students talking (as well as some alumni)alongside other career speakers!
The career biography of Patrick Aryee emphasises the dynamic nature of careers & how a career path can evolve rather than being mapped out.
Patrick is a graduate scientist, with a passion for drama who now works in media combining these interests.
Everyday in his explorer job role he gets to further develop his understanding of environmental geography and physical geography whilst he witnesses the extremes of our planet in his job presenting wildlife TV shows. He travels and explores the world, passing on his understanding of how the environment impacts the animals that live there to viewers. Also this job role allows him to promote important conservation work so his job satisfaction must be huge.
It is clear, as long as you have interests & are passionate about the subject area, and are willing to adapt to opportunities & keep up with tech & trends in the economy, then you will keep progressing in your career journeys and I'm sure no one will exactly predict where they will end up in a decade

Thinking ahead to Post 16 (KS5)...
This section is for your awareness only. It is to give an insight into the considerable changes that have taken place in the KS5 educational landscape. In summary many more vocational and work related pathways are available & viable alternatives to A-Level; which can all lead to work OR University.
The School pays for a software subscription for your child. This careers software is called UNIFROG.
All students have a unique USERNAME & PASSWORD. This allows them access to 1000s of career routes, labour market information and they can save and personalise their careers exploration.
Unifrog is used in the school all the way up to sixth form and showcases many routes to employment, vocational educational pathways, such as Apprenticeships, Diplomas and T-Levels, as well as supporting students if they go to University.
In year 9 students are familiar with using UNIFROG as they log the skills they have been utilising when completing aspects of their Year 9 Award. Logging these interactions and enrichment and academic achievements make it easier for students to build their CVs and showcase their achievements.
