6th What is a Computer

For this assignment we teamed up into four teams of three. I was on a team with David and Mikaella. We were supposed to make a board and tape pictures of items in sections, computer or not computer. We went through the pictures, one by one, and made decisions on if it was a computer or not. Our criteria was that we looked at the pictures and discussed if they had software. When we finished we watched a video that told us what a computer does. A computer takes inputed information, processes the information, stores it, and gives us an output. We debated about mainly the picture of a remote control for a television. Our conclusion on that was that it was more like the keyboard that you connect to your computer. Not a lot of our decisions changed after the video surprisingly. I liked this assignment because, it involved teamwork and teamwork makes the dream work.
