Alecia Burnham

My name is Alecia Maria Burnham.  I have been married to my husband, Ryan for 13 years. We have two beautiful kids Rylee (11yo) and Rayna (7yo). I have worked at Double Oak Mountain Family Dentistry for 13 years as Scheduling Coordinator. I love spending time with family  and friends, shopping, and planning our family's next adventure. One of my favorite  things to do is teach PSR at Saint Mark. I have taught for the past two years.  I love to watch their hearts fill with the love of Jesus. They are so excited to learn about Jesus each week. Teaching the K5 PSR class is definitely one of my favorite things to do and it is a way I can help serve the Lord.

Jill Nikoden

My name is Jill Nikoden and I've been a member at Saint Mark since 2016.  Originally from Amarillo, Texas, I moved to Birmingham in 1981 and have spent most of my adult life in Alabama.   After I retired, I was looking for ways to get more involved in the parish but was taken aback when a friend suggested that I become a PSR catechist.  The only children my husband and I ever had were the four-legged furry kind.  And, I was pretty sure that in a "rank your favorite aunt" contest among my own nieces and nephews I would struggle to finish higher than 3rd or 4th place.  "Could I really do this?”, I asked myself. Two years later, I know not only that I can, but that doing so is more enjoyable and rewarding than I could have ever imagined.  Every week is an unscripted adventure that I am blessed to share with these great kids.
