You will also receive a packing list with specific details about our daily themes around June 1st. We "dress up" each night for dinner based on our theme in different costumes and fun attire.
REMINDER: If at all possible and to help with the clutter and safekeeping of campers’
belongings, campers need to pack all items in either a (wheeled) plastic footlocker or a (wheeled) 45
gallon Rubbermaid type container (available at WalMart or Target). The one pictured below can be found here.
Please use this checklist to help you pack and let us know if you have any questions.
What to Bring:
¨ Bible
¨ Pens or Pencils
¨ XL Twin Sheets for Girls
Regular Size Twin Sheets for Boys
¨ Blanket or sleeping bag
¨ Pillow
¨ Bath towel and washcloth (2)
¨ Beach towel (1)
¨ Toiletry Kit (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, comb, etc.)
¨ Flashlight with fresh batteries
¨ Sunscreen (spray on is preferred)
¨ Bug spray
¨ Medication in a daily “pillminder” box - clearly marked with your name (to be turned in to the camp nurse at check in. DO NOT PACK IN SUITCASE)
¨ Plenty of socks and underwear. Remember you will be swimming every day and may want to change – so bring extra!
¨ Tennis shoes
¨ Flip Flops
¨ PJ’s
¨ Old clothes. There are at least 2 activities that you will need OLD clothes that you don’t mind getting messy in. For all other times you won’t ruin your clothes, but you still might not want to bring your best clothes.
¨ Swimsuit and cover up. Swimsuit guidelines: Boys, please wear trunks that do not sag and that will stay on during physical activities. Girls, please bring modest, well-fitting swimsuits that will stay on well during physical activities.
¨ Anything you would like to use in the talent show (music, costumes, props etc).
¨ Board Games/Card Games (Just in case it rains)
¨ Water guns
¨ We dress for dinner related to the daily themes. Everyone gets really excited about this. So be creative before you leave home and pack a few things to wear. Even if you think you wouldn’t want to participate in this, go ahead and pack a few things just in case you change your mind. We will let you know what the dress up nights are by June 1st.
What Not to Bring:
· Radios, CD players, or iPods (there will be a CD player in each cabin to use, DO NOT bring your own or it will be taken away for the week)
· No cell phones
· No video games
· Knives or other weapons
· Please don’t bring any snacks; they attract critters! Don’t worry; there will be plenty to eat!
