Homework Expectations

Paper homework given will come home in your child's folder.  Unless otherwise noted, homework should be returned completed the next day.  I will give extended due dates and further directions for more detailed assignments or projects. 

Please allow your child to do their homework with minimal assistance, so I can see with what skills and concepts that they excel in and where they may need assistance.  

Just as Kindergarten was more challenging and brought new experiences that differed from Pre-K, First Grade brings many new and exciting skills and concepts and routines to learn as well, many of  which will not be the same as what they are used to from Kindergarten.  I am encouraging my students to embrace these new challenges in First Grade and persevere.
