Meet the Teacher

Hello Sunshine! My name is Danielle Sclafani and I am excited to be teaching and fostering your child's love of learning.  I am entering my sixth year teaching at St. Lawrence.  I am a graduate of Wayne State University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  Before joining STL, I worked in Utica Community Schools for 10 years, where I taught as an instructional reading/technology coach,  kindergarten and third grade teacher. 

I am married to my wonderful husband Cesare of 15 years  and we are blessed with three handsome gentlemen, who attend St. Lawrence- Vincent (7th), Dominic (5th) and Anthony (2nd).  I feel fortunate to teach and work near my boys and look forward to a terrific school year ahead.   I love teaching young minds and watching them grow throughout the year, it is simply the best reward!

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy being a mom, watching my boys playing baseball & football, cooking, playing family games, being outside, reading and spending time with family and friends.
