Mission and Vision of the St. Kevin PREP Program:
The Mission and Vision of the PREP program at St. Kevin Parish is to promote the development of heart, mind, body, and soul to help God's children to think, judge, and act in ways that are sound and in keeping with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.
The Vision of the PREP program at St. Kevin Parish is to engage students to share their love of Jesus by learning well in the classroom and by going out and helping society through acts of charity and service to our families and communities.
Curriculum
Curriculum
PREP follows a curriculum for each level established by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and stated in the Religion Guidelines of the Archdiocese. Textbooks are selected from a list of Archdiocese approved texts that are found to be in conformance with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Classes generally cover one chapter a week. Both written and study homework is usually assigned for each level. This gives the parents an opportunity to reinforce and expand upon concepts and doctrine being taught in class. Prayers are assigned for memorization at each level.
