The Equitable Scorecard is a tool and set of criteria to guide community development plans, and should help answer the question: "How can development repair past harms and contribute to a stronger, more inclusive and thriving community?"
The Mac-Groveland Community Council plans to create their own scorecard in 2023 and lists the benefits of an equitable development scorecard as:
Bringing community membership into the decision making process
Choosing development plans that benefit local communities of color and lower-income communities
Incorporating environmental justice concerns into planning decisions
Identifying ways to improve plans before breaking ground
Two ways to become part of this process in Mac-Groveland:
Attend Mac-Grove Community Council meetings
Participate in the Inclusivity Task Force
