IMPORTANT!!! READ FIRST - Use some form of Digital Note Taking/Graphic Organizer to collect Notes as you learn about Google Docs. This could be Google Docs, Google Slides, Canva Templates, etc. The choice is yours, however the notes need to be organized and labeled. Notes will be turned in at the end of the Quest.
Step 1: Watch the Google Docs Tutorial Videos below, on how to use Google Docs successfully as a student. Learn about different tools to help make you be a better student throughout the upcoming year. Take notes as you watch the Tutorials. When you have finished watching all of the Videos, turn in your notes to Google Classroom.
Step 2: Now that you have learned about the different tools in Google Docs it's time to practice. Complete the Following Tasks to Practice the Skills you just learned. The Goal of this activity is to be simple and easy to understand and to reinforce the knowledge you just gained. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Step 3: Using what you have learned about Google Docs, You are now going to see how you can transfer your knowledge and skills to Microsoft Word. Remember some of the Tools maybe the same but some of them might be different. If there is a task, that you do not know how to complete you can check out the "Microsoft Tutorial Library" to view short "How To" Videos for help.
Word Processing Project: "Letter to Me"
Directions - Using Microsoft Word, write a letter to yourself at the end of 8th grade. Include things such as what you are excited about, nervous about, what your goals are for when you leave St. Jude, what life is like right now, etc.
Review the Rubric to RIGHT to see the requirements for the complete assignment. You must include ALL the ELEMENTS to receive FULL CREDIT.
When you are finished turn in your assignment to the Letter to Me assignment in your Technology Google Classroom.
