Step 1: Watch the Video Google Docs for Kids - What is it? To learn the Basics of what Google Docs is and when and why you would be using it in the Classroom.
Step 2: Now that you have learned what Google Docs is, go to Google Classroom and complete the Bubble Map Graphic Organizer Assignment about Google Docs. Think about the things you learned from the video, and maybe what you already know about Google Docs. In each Bubble, write down something about Google Docs. An example could be - Typing Paragraphs or Changing Fonts. These are both things I can do in Google Docs.
Step 3: Watch the Video on Opening a Document and Making a Copy to learn 2 of the most basic tasks that you will use repeatedly when working with Google Docs or Google Slides. Being able to do these tasks is essential.
Step 4: Click on the Button to the Right, and take a short quiz over how to open a document and how to make a copy in Google Docs.
Step 3: Watch the Video on how to edit and change Fonts in Google Docs. Then use the Learning about Fonts Template to complete the activity by following the directions on the document. When finished turn in your completed activity to the Learning about Fonts assignment in Google Classroom.
Step 4: Watch the Video on how to Add Pictures in Google Docs. Then use the Adding Pictures Template to complete the activity by following the directions on the document. When finished turn in your completed activity to the Adding Pictures assignment in Google Classroom.
Step 5: Watch the Video on how to Layer Pictures and Objects in Google Docs. Then use the Layering Objects Template to complete the activity by following the directions on the document. When finished turn in your completed activity to the Layering Objects assignment in Google Classroom.
