Katherine Siner, RN, School Nurse Leader

Katherine is a full-time registered nurse who has been working at the St. Johnsbury School since 2018. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Sustainable Agriculture from the University of Montana and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Vermont Technical College in 2014. In 2018, she became a licensed Associate School Nurse.

Katherine also works as a labor and delivery nurse, is a certified lactation counselor, and holds PALS, NRP, and ACLS certifications. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Administration. Katherine is very passionate about oral health in the school setting. In her free time, you'll catch her on a trail skiing or hiking with her family and dog.

Amanda Percopo, MSN, BSN, RN  

Amanda graduated with her BSN from Southern Connecticut State University in 2016 and her Masters in Nursing Education in 2022. She recently relocated to Vermont from Southern Connecticut where she taught nursing at SCSU and worked as a school nurse in New Haven, CT. Amanda enjoys working with the pediatric population spending a year in the pediatric float pool at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, six years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Yale and two years at Yale University Pediatrics outpatient. Amanda is excited to work with and get to know the St. Johnsbury community! 

Tara Prue, RN 

Tara joins us as our new school nurse, bringing 16 years of experience in school nursing along with a background in orthopedics and sports medicine. She is also a CPR instructor and is passionate about supporting student health, wellness, and success both in and out of the classroom. 

Outside of school, Tara enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and doing puzzles. As a mom to three children, she has always been involved in her kids activities and especially loves baseball and softball. Whether she is coaching or watching from the sidelines, that's often where you'll find her! She is excited to join the school community, get to know students and families!

Kayla Kittredge, LNA

Kayla began working as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in 2024. Originally from southern Vermont, she brings experience in both medical-surgical and pediatric care. Kayla enjoys working in the school setting and values the opportunity to support students and families. She is passionate about family, community, and creating a caring and supportive environment for children. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time on her farm, especially with her ducks, chickens, and her goats, Coco and Oreo.
