Room Parents
Calling all Room Parents!
Are you energetic, organized, and enjoy being with your child and their friends? Then being a Room Parent may be for you!
As the Primary Room Parent you will act as the liaison between the teacher and families in your child’s class. Responsibilities include welcoming new families, coordinating class parties, and recruiting classroom volunteers, if needed.
Requirements
You must have completed the Archdiocese of Washington’s Child Protection Program and have been fingerprinted to work in your child’s classroom. For more information on this process, please click here.
Being the Primary Room Parent in your child’s class will fulfill your volunteer obligation for the year.
Each parent may serve as the Primary Room Parent for only one classroom per school year.
Room Parents are assigned on a first come first served basis; in the event of two or more room parents for one classroom, the volunteer hours will be split.
If you are interested in learning more or volunteering to be a Room Parent, please contact the Room Parent Coordinator Cindy Orellana.
