New Families

Dear St. Joseph's Regional Catholic School Community,

I am blessed and humbled to be your principal! St. Joseph’s is a beautiful, diverse and strong community rooted in deep Catholic Faith. A hidden gem in Prince Georges County, our school has teachers who truly care about their students, and students who truly care about each other.

With Father Rob, Father Walter, and Father Baer as our shepherds, we are a family of God living on His virtuous word and teachings. This year brings about change as we emerge from the pandemic. While safety of our students, staff, and their families are of utmost importance, we also strive to provide solid, rigorous, and dependable education.

I hail from Northern Virginia where I was born and raised. My husband Jeff and I met on our first day of college at George Mason University and were married at the St. Bellarmine Chapel on campus just over four years later. I’m a firm believer in Catholic education as our three children, aged 18, 15, and 14, attend Catholic school, with the younger two graduating from St. Joseph's last year and currently attending Archdiocese of Washington high schools. I have a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Math, an M.S. in Operations Research, and “all but dissertation” in a Ph.D. in Math Education Leadership and Administration – all from George Mason. Teaching is a second career, and after working as a consultant for a government contractor, and taking time off to stay home with my children, I became a middle school math teacher at our parish in Virginia.

Math is my passion and don’t be surprised to hear stories from your students about me stopping in their classroom to help with math stations, or play fun math games! I firmly believe all students have the potential to become intelligent mathematicians. Combined with academics, the teachings of our Faith truly make the foundation of a Catholic school. I bring experience as a catechist, a classroom religion teacher, and the chairman of Vacation Bible School for several years.

Communication is also important to me and paramount in a successful school community. I look forward to serving St. Joseph’s Regional Catholic School. My office is always open.

Many Blessings,
Erin Meunier
