It is with great sadness we say farewell to our inspiring Year 6 leavers. They have made such a positive contribution to the life of our school and have faced many challenges and disappoints as their journey at St Joseph's came to an end.
However, with faith and spirit they have recovered from these knocks - producing the most hilarious Year 6 production along the way - and shown us all the remarkable adaptability and resilience of children. We have a lot to learn from you Year 6!
Wishing you all a peaceful summer break and a prosperous return to education in September. God bless you all.
Looking ahead to the new school year, please take 10 minutes to engage with our new protective measures to keep the community safe. The Slides presentation contains a summary of the main changes to our normal routines, with audio and video clips to help guide you. The PDF document contains the school's formal risk assessed protective measures, written in conjunction with Surrey County Council and compliant with DfE guidance, to help mitigate the risks from the COVD-19 pandemic.
We are so looking forward to welcoming you all back to school!
Come and see the budding actors and actresses of the future, they will sing, dance and tell you the real truth about fairy tales.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank the staff for the many hours of hard work that have been afforded to producing this new format of performance – especially from our dedicated Year 6 bubble team. Without their positivity and enthusiasm, we wouldn’t have been able to create such a memorable production. A special mention to our remarkable wardrobe and prop department, Mrs Le Vallee, Miss May, Miss Stewart, Mrs Holland, Miss Duxbury and Mrs Ramirez, all led by the unshakable, Mrs Alongi. The creativity and dedication they offer the school is remarkable and we owe them all a debt of gratitude, especially for the very tight deadline.
To Miss Birtles, Mrs Edwards and Mrs Jopson - thank you for being so willing to make sure Year 6 receive an unforgettable send off. We can only apologise in advance for the terrible puns and jokes - that's what happens when you leave teachers to write it!
So all that is left to say is...
Lights, Camera, Action!
