PAWS
Third Graders posed for a picture around the table that was used to collect food for PAWS, a Wakefield based all-volunteer, 501(c) (3), non-profit foster network. Its sole purpose is to promote and protect the rights and well-being of all domestic animals and wildlife, and foster greater understanding of animal welfare and animal rights through education.
Anyone looking to adopt a cute little kitten might want to head over to PAWS on
Tuesday, October 12th, from 1:30 to 5:00 PM
and have a little visit with the cute and available adoption ready kittens.

POLYGONS
Students began their study of geometry beginning iwth polygons. They studeies some geometry last year in second grade so their knowledge of geometry continues to build. Students were given toothpicks and clay and the name of a polygon to make.
I think they did great work!
STEM-Games
Let the Games Begin!
We began designing and creating these games on our Meet and Greet Day prior to the start of school. Every Tuesday afternoon, the students have faithfully been redesigning and working hard on these indoor recess games. The students have had to learn about cooperation, listenting to others ideas, reworking certains parts, making sure the directions make sense, and how to make sure everyone has a voice. This has not been easy, but one thing is certain, they all enjoyed this assignment and are eager to play the games and have other groups join in.
The games begin Tuesday afternoon!
