Reading
We are going to read The BFG for the remainder of the school year. Students will focus on different comprehension skills and vocabulary throughout the novel.
*Book reports due Tuesday!
Language Arts
The next topic in grammar is helping verbs.
Words Their Way (Spelling/Phonics)
Students will take a test on last weeks words on Monday. Students will receive their new words on Tuesday.
Writing
Students will be presenting their persuasive speeches this week.
Math
Students will start topic 14 on time and capacity this week.
Science
Students are finishing up life cycles and traits, and we will be combining the next chapter on adaptations and survival.
Social Studies
Students will be learning about the 3 branches of government and how decisions are made. They will be working on an in-class project this week.
Religion
Students learned how Mary is the greatest saint. They will be taking a test on Tuesday. Students will also be memorizing the Hail Holy Queen.
