It goes into depth of why they are fighting, and how it is resolved. This book clears the air between the disagreement and provides answers to the readers.

The KKK wished to spread their message through public places. This article shows the problem which the KKK had with coal miners in Indiana. This shows the racist comments and the racial hate that they spread throughout their message. It shows the problem that they had with immigration, and their reasoning behind it.

The advertisement shown gives examples of how persuasive the KKK truly was. The KKK persuaded many to follow in their footsteps and do exactly as they were doing. Whether or not the people were persuaded or simply feared the KKK, the KKK knew exactly what they were doing, and they had many “followers.”

This artcle explains the nickname of "The Fughting Irish" and where and how it came about. Lou Holtz remains very proud of the nickname that Nitre dame was given because of its background. Notre Dame received that nickname during the conflict with the KKK against the Figthing Irish. Due to the history of their nickname, when Holts heard that pepole were interested in changing it, he becam eupset. Many people wear that nickname with pride.

Explains whether or not Indiana is a Klan state. The Klan believed that Catholics and Jews (immigrants) were a concerning group, along with Africans. It was spiked by social, religious, and cultural changes in the U.S. after World War I. Hoosiers (white, native born, 100% white) wanted to make America better by making America 100% white again.

Although the Klan was determined to prove a point, South Bend officials and the Fighting Irish wanted to put a stop to it for the safety of the community. The Klan’s grant for a parade permit was denied, and informed students and the community to stay away from the Klan and remain safely on their campus.
