Conclusion

As we consider the unique events that occurred as a result of the duel, we are forced to consider how Aaron Burr’s career would have ended up differently if he hadn’t killed Alexander Hamilton. When looking back at the events of the duel, we are forced to think about how Aaron Burr’s career would have been impacted differently if he had not killed Alexander Hamilton. According to the Princeton Review, “Much of Burr’s reputation for being unprincipled and untrustworthy came from Alexander Hamilton.” When the duel started Aaron Burr shot Alexander Hamilton in the head with a .56 caliber pistol. Aaron Burr came out of the duel unscathed, but he was never able to recover from the event. As the final result of the duel, Alexander Hamilton died and Aaron Burr’s career in politics was ruined. This was the last fight between two American politicians in history.
