Conclusion

To make a long story short, Action Park should’ve been an idea that stayed in Gene Mulvihill’s head. This amusement park was insane and possibly the most dangerous one to ever exist. It was opened in 1978 and closed in 1996 due to bankruptcy. You would think the park closed because of all the injuries that were happening there because of the extremely dangerous attractions. The attractions were causing concussions, dislocated shoulders, broken bones, whiplash, impact injuries, abrasions, chemical burns, snake bites, and drownings. It was ridiculous that even after six people died there, the park stayed open and was as busy as ever. Would you go to Action Park? Would you go to a place that didn’t care for your safety? Would you go to a place where people were dying? Would you let your kids roam free there?

An amusement park like this should never be created again. Giving too much freedom to reckless teenagers can be dangerous. Action Park is a great representation of this. It was a place where teenagers got to do whatever they wanted. It was cool to have scars from Action Park, it was like a right of passage. Teenagers today feel like they have no freedom at all, but it’s for their safety. They might not appreciate it now, but they will in the future when they aren’t buried six feet in the ground.
