My literature review is an assembly of my findings as I researched three main parts of air pollution: causes, effects, and solutions. In terms of causes I discovered that traffic caused air pollution is a big contributor to the issue, and thus I shifted my perspective during the later parts of my project to focus on tackling traffic caused air pollution specifically. Next, I wanted to understand how humans are affected by air pollution. I was shocked to find that humans are not only affected with respiratory illnesses, but that the range of conditions streched all the way to mental health. Therefore, with all of research in the negatives of air pollution I wanted to also devote time to investigating solutions to the issue. This was inspiring because I discovered that there are solutions for air pollution on both the individual and group level meaning that anyone could make a difference in their own lives as well as other's lives regardless of how minute they feel in a large issue.
