We are in the home stretch of finishing our novel, No Talking. At the end of the book, there will be a test that will count as a unit grade.
Welcome to 5th grade ELA!
ELA is all about reading, speaking, writing, and understanding the English language. We will study grammar and vocabulary using the Grammar and Vocabulary Workshop series. We will also complete daily warm-ups and activities with our weekly mentor sentence. We will read novels together this year and reflect on them in class discussion and in writing. We will begin reading our first novel during the second week of school. Sometimes we will also read nonfiction articles together. It is going to be a great year!
