4th grade ELA upcoming assignments and assessments:
Due to MAP testing and midterms, we are not having vocabulary or spelling for the weeks of January 12 and January 19. We will resume with unit 7 on January 25. Grammar will continue as normal. We are currently in unit 3, verbs.
There is no mentor sentence this week.
We have started our second novel of the year. It a mystery called Chasing Vermeer. We will take a comprehension assessment every two chapters. They are always open book.
Welcome to 4th grade ELA!
In this class, you will study grammar, vocabulary, writing, and reading in a variety of ways. We use the Vocabulary and Grammar Workshop series as well as daily warm-ups and mentor sentences every day. We will read novels and nonfiction articles together as a class. You will find out more about our first class novel in the first two weeks of school. I think you're really going to enjoy it!
