Welcome to fourth grade social studies!
Social Studies for Fourth Grade focuses on regions of the USA and Maryland history. We will be using Maryland: An American Adventure and Impact Social Studies as our curriculum.
There are 7 units in Social Studies that build off of each other. These units include regions of the USA and Maryland, early human societies in USA, how Maryland turned into a state, as well as economic systems.
Vocabulary will continuously be taught and be quizzed throughout the units. Students are expected to fill out a vocabulary sheet to help them prepare and study in class, but if they do not finish it becomes homework.
