Information for Mrs. Diggs's ELA Classroom

In ELA teachers will grade on a points system and categorize each grade.The categories will be multiplied to weight the grades according to the categories. Below are the categories and how much they will weigh for the student's final grade:

Reading/Literature

• Comprehension 30%

• Oral Language 10%

• Vocabulary 10%

English

• Grammar 20%

• Writing 25%

Spelling 5%

Penmanship 0%

These categories and their weights were used last year as well.
