GRADING
Grades will be published on PowerSchool weekly. Assignments and other resources will be posted to Google Classroom. Grading will be based on appropriate participation, effort, and meeting the criteria of a rubric.

OVERALL GOAL
Students will build a collaborative mindset through team work and try to solve real world problems. They will focus on different roles when working in a team and participate in hands-on activities. Students will be introduced to foundational vocabulary commonly used in STEM. They will strengthen their ability to integrate and apply knowledge and skills; nurturing their creativity, collaboration and problem solving skills. Students in these grades will refer the Engineering Design Process while participating in problem-based projects and we will begin to make career connections in STEM.
UPDATES
August/September Week 1 & 2:
Students will be shown the routines and expectations of STEM. We will complete some mini-challenges to promote collaboration and problem-solving.
