OVERALL GOAL
Students will build a collaborative mindset through team work and try to solve real world problems. They will focus on different roles when working in a team and participate in hands-on activities. Students will be introduced to foundational vocabulary commonly used in STEM. They will strengthen their ability to integrate and apply knowledge and skills; nurturing their creativity, collaboration and problem solving skills. Students in these grades will refer the Engineering Design Process while participating in problem-based projects and we will begin to make career connections in STEM.

December Week 1:
5th
Students are creating their templates and constructing their skimmer.
6th
Students are testing their skimmer, recording measurements, and analyzing the data.
7th
Students are creating a catapult to see which group can launch them the furthest.
8th
Students will be reviewing their Silent Films.
