Cold Weather Recess - Following guidelines provided by the state of Pennsylvania’s Dept of Human Services, which, stressing the importance of outside play, stipulates that “Children are expected to go outside when the forecast temperature/wind chill is above 25 degrees.” On days when the weather is cold please be sure children are outfitted with warm clothing, including mittens/gloves, scarves, and hats if possible. Students will NOT be permitted to go out for recess without a winter coat. Hoodies are not sufficient when the temperature is below 50 degrees.
