House System
Our House System
In St. Margaret's we have five different houses. The houses are named after saints linked to Scotland.
Mungo
Ogilvie
Andrew
Ninian
Columba
All the children in our school are assigned to a house. Everyone is part of that team throughout their St. Margaret's journey. We have regular house meetings where the children complete fun tasks together.
Each day the children earn tokens for good work and good behaviour and try to become top scorer. The winning house each week is decided by the number of tokens gathered. At the end of each term the winning house has a special treat.
Assembly
Once a fortnight we have a whole school assembly. Two children from every class are chosen to receive a Headteacher award. The class teacher chooses children who have made an outstanding effort in some way. This success is celebrated by the whole school and a special certificate is awarded by Mr. Nugent.
Laudato Si Award
Each month, again during the assembly, two pupils are chosen from each class to receive the Laudato Si Award. They are pupils who have demonstrated the the value for that month.
