At Raploch Primary School we recognise the value of the importance of good physical and mental health and wellbeing, and it is always front and centre of everything we do.
We allocate some of our Pupil Equity Funding to employ our own PEPAS coordinator, Natalie Wilson. Natalie has the responsibility to develop Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport (PEPAS) opportunities for pupils at Raploch Primary. This is done through providing a wide variety of opportunities before school, at lunchtime and after school.
Natalie works alongside staff to ensure sport and physical activity opportunities are available. She also helps to lead and support the health and well-being projects that are on-going within the school.
Natalie supports and encourages Raploch Primary pupils to engage in Active Stirling’s Active Schools Calendar of events, as well as Wallace Learning Community events provided by our Active Schools Coordinator.
We use some of our Pupil Equity Fund to deliver our School of Sport programme. Our School of Football and School of Dance pupils are released from class for 2 hours per week to train in their chosen discipline. Pupils are provided with training in football from Natalie Wilson, our PEPAS Coordinator. Dance pupils are taught by our in-house dance specialist and Class Teacher, Miss Julie Gibb.
We work in partnership with Wallace High School to to ensure a smooth transition to Wallace High School of Sport.
