We are always inspired by our school grounds and how they allow us to explore our learning in new and exciting ways. Throughout the week learners have the opportunity to explore their learning further within the school grounds.
Staff have received additional training in order to further enhance their delivery of outdoor learning, including bush craft and fire lighting.
Some of our learners worked with staff to identify resources needed to run a series of maths based activities. They applied and were awarded a Maths Week Scotland grant to help raise the profile of maths and to encourage the application of skills across the curriculum. the learners had a great time working together and supporting younger children to participate in the activities.
In our Early Years classroom we explore our learning through child-initiated and teacher supported play sessions. All our staff promote children's learning and enquiry through quality interactions.
After working last year to set up raised besides, planting a variety of crops we have been harvesting them and using them to cook variety of healthy recipes.
Throughout the year we encourage all pupils to apply their learning through STEM based challenges and problem solving tasks.
