Stillwater Middle School Band classes will be using the Band Method "Essential Elements" Book 1. There are several ways to order a new Essential Elements Book:

The book comes with a free Essential Elements "Interactive" version, a web based version that includes lots of extras. (I refer to this as "EEi")

6th Grade Band:

Band students in grade 6 will use the Essential Elements Book 1 that you received as a 5th grader last year.
Assignments will be given on Schoology.
I highly recommend that you use the free Essential Elements "Interactive" website that comes with your book! See the back cover of your book for instructions on how to use Essential Elements Interactive. Using EEInteractive will allow students to record, practice with a metronome, and it makes practicing so much more fun!
Once you register, you will be able to see your music on your device, you won't need your book!
Students are asked to record their assignment and submit using "Schoology".

7th Grade:

Assignments will be given on Schoology.

8th Grade:

Band students in grade 8 will use SMARTMUSIC.
We will register for SMARTMUSIC in class.
We will use 'Essential Elements Book 2', which is available on SMARTMUSIC.
Solos and Ensembles, as ell as most of our Band Concert Music is availiable on SMARTMUSIC.
Assignments will be given and graded on Schoology.
Students will be given one assignments in SMARTMUSIC to complete with daily practice.
