Welcome to Stillness Therapy!
The name "Stillness Therapy" came to me during a time when the world felt increasingly disconnected, pulling me further away from myself and my community. As someone working within systems, I was witnessing collective grief manifest in many forms as the pandemic upended all of our lives, and the weight of it deeply affected me.
This moment became a turning point in my life, one that opened my capacity for healing—both for myself and others. I found hope in the stillness of my backyard, where peace always felt accessible: the gentle wind in the trees, the fresh air, and the sunlight peeking through the leaves.
It was in this quiet space that I found the grounding and clarity I needed. It became clear to me that moments of stillness are foundations for connection, transformation, embodiment, and healing.
Overview of Services
I provide individual and family therapy, supporting clients in their healing journey by exploring what it means to them to honor their inner voice, needs, and strengths. Together, we embark on a journey that is embodied, practiced, and aligned, guiding you toward your authentic and free self.
With over ten years of experience in the nonprofit and government sectors, I provide consultation and psychoeducation workshops to public health agencies, nonprofits, government agencies, behavioral health services, hospitals, and universities. My expertise includes health equity, community and population health, patient care and safety, workplace stress and burnout, and employee wellness.
I also offer specialized services to individuals and families affected by transnational and transracial adoption, with a particular focus on supporting Black and African adoptees, first families, and adoptive parents. These services provide guidance, resources, and emotional support to help navigate the unique challenges and experiences associated with adoption across cultural, racial, and linguistic boundaries.
